Junior Explorer candidates must be in the 6th,7th,or 8th grade and between the ages of 11 and 13. All new junior explorer candidates are subject to a background check, school attendance and academic review. The background check may include, but is not limited to, interviews with family members, friends, neighbors, teachers, school administrators, employers, police officers and existing post members. Candidates convicted of felony or a violent crime will not be considered.
New candidates will be accepted on a probationary status for (3) three months. During that three month period, any violation of the rules, regulations, requirements and/or restrictions may result in immediate dismissal from the post.
